This is a maternity cover for around 14 months.

About the role:

Junior Risk Position Controller is supporting Risk Center of Expertise based in Zurich (Switzerland) in execution of back office activities of monitoring and controlling the risk positions within our different divisions, global maintenance of the reporting solutions, supporting IT automation improvements and broker ledger postings during the month end.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control our risk positions and to ensure meeting audit requirements of consistency and correctness of the trading data as defined by the group.

  • Analyze correctness of PL reports and ensure maintenance of the Numerix reporting tool.

  • Support region roll outs of the risk reporting infrastructure.

  • Send daily risk position reporting for all entities in the scope of Risk CoE.

  • Execute reconciliations of FX trades with the brokers and solve disputes.

  • Become a key expert in all derivative related master data maintenance, including onboarding of new products and derivative brokers and guide regions in all onboarding related questions.

  • Support month end closing process providing input for accounting regarding the valuation of derivatives and accounting booking of broker ledger cash flows.

  • Responsible for daily risk position validation and reconciliation for regions NAFTA, Sourcing Europe, BC Cocoa Western Europe, Global Africa, Ghana, Sicc and SACO.

  • Support in maintenance of spec book PL reports in BC Sourcing Europe cocoa and non-cocoa business, BC Sourcing America Cocoa.

About you:

  • Higher degree in Economy/Finance / Controlling.

  • At least 2-3 years of professional background in audit, finance, banking, accounting environment – strong understanding of derivatives developed in the academic environment and working experience in banks, commodity trading companies or an audit.

  • Good MS Office (especially Excel), SAP, BW, Numerix knowledge.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Be willing to business trips - travel to the Head Office, external training travel (several times per year).

  • Flexibility in working hours - we cooperate with Asia and the United States, our working hours are between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., depending on the week.

  • Very detail and approachable service-oriented person.

  • Strong analytical and multitasking skills.

  • Good communication skills - as this role foresees constant interaction with all departments within the organization and stakeholders.
