Position Summary

Position is responsible for the supervision of programs, services, and facilities at the assigned Park location. Work related activities would include all facets of recreational programming and service delivery.

Position Responsibilities

Assists in the development and implementation of a wide variety of recreational events.

Follows established policies and procedures.

Completes reports, inspections and evaluations based on established guidelines.

Delivers excellent customer service.

Establishes a professional rapport with all park users.

Maintains the facility and park grounds in an attractive manner.

Opens and closes the facility and follows proper security measures to safeguard city assets.

Supports and assists customers while participating in activities such as sports, games and arts and crafts.

Responsible for properly collecting and depositing revenue.

Qualifications

High school degree or GED preferred. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet various deadlines. Must be people oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of park users. General knowledge of recreation, sports, games, and arts and crafts. Facility management experience preferred. Ability to follow all established policies and procedures. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Cash handling and basic computers skills required. Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Independent Judgment

Established policies and procedures control actions. Independent judgment is utilized when there are no available policies and procedures and errors in judgment may cause inconsistencies and inconveniences as well as regulatory and budgetary problems.
