Job Description:

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology is seeking a full time Clinical Research Coordinator I. This position supports our clinical trials and works under the direction of the Associate Director of Clinical Programs for the Cardiology Clinical Trials Division to oversee and maintain the regulatory affairs for the Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Program. This requires a mature individual that is self-motivated and willing to collaborate with faculty, fellows, research staff, sponsors from private, state and federal agencies, and study patients. The Research Coordinator I will help in developing and maintaining infrastructure for all grant related /clinical trials for the division. The incumbent must understand the strategic direction of the division.

Essential Functions;

Fiscal billing and revenue tracking

Data QA auditing

Entering data on case report forms or into a computerized data base

Developing of materials and tools necessary oversee clinical research trial

Coordinating activities with other members of the research team

Frequently corresponds with outside parties related to ongoing research

Completion of institution and research required training

Reviewing data for accuracy and completeness

Scheduling and creation of agenda for site visits related to clinical research trial

Editing documents for IRB submissions and quarterly report

Creating of patient materials and scheduling patients for follow up

Expected Salary:

$33,000 - $40,229 Annually

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively

Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to work accurately in a detail-oriented, busy medical environment

Excellent organizational skills, ability to work with staff to set up and follow PRN schedule

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Ability to work independently

Proficiency in WORD

Knowledge of EXCEL

Knowledge of Internet use

Ability to organize files and other records

Ability to compose and type letters, memorandums, and other written communication/documents

Ability to use correct spelling, punctuation and grammar

Ability to verify data for accuracy and completeness

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
