The Role

Proofpoint is one of the fastest growing cyber security firms globally (multiple Gartner MQ, Forrester Wave and Frost Radar leader). We’re looking for an experienced Content Manager to join our EMEA Marketing team. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of projects—including videos, infographics, podcasts - This is a cornerstone of our product marketing, sales enablement, demand generation and SEO efforts.

You’ll also act as a brand ambassador, working to maintain brand and style consistency across all marketing channels. You’re perfect for this role if you are creative, organized, detail-focused, team-oriented and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. With a blend of marketing, technical writing and journalism experience to create reader-centric writing with a firm command of technical details and a customer-journey mindset.

Your day-to-day

Conceive and plan content strategies focused on repurposing pillar content as creative new short-form assets such as videos, infographics, interactive, social media content and more.

  • Analyse existing pillar content to identify key themes, messages and information that provide value to target audiences, looking for opportunities to repurpose content from team members and other teams.

  • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and other team members to plan and execute in parallel with other writers as pillar content is created.

  • Ensure copy integrity, quality and consistency with style, tone, and messaging guidelines to effectively connect with the audience through social media and other channels to drive engagement, interaction and conversions.

Use data to monitor performance, report key metrics and drive repurposing strategy.

  • Conducting keyword research to identify popular topics for repurposing content. Optimize SEO strategies for repurposed content to maximize visibility and reach, identifying high-quality, content that can be repurposed.

  • Use Google Analytics to determine which posts and topics are driving significant traffic and suitable for repurposing, staying updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve strategies.

As time and bandwidth allow, take on campaign writing assignments

  • Working closely with product marketing team, understand the goals and requirements of each assignment, taking into account campaign messaging and existing content

  • Through our content management system, create outlines, drafts and revisions based on input and feedback from stakeholders, including marcom, product marketing and SEO consultant.

  • Write landing page and other supporting copy.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a web writer or blogger, with a strong portfolio of published articles.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.

  • Strong understanding of SEO, content management systems, and social media platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and topics.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
