Description

The Manager, Onboarding is responsible for ensuring exemplary customer service and support to candidates and new hires by overseeing all elements of the pre-hire onboarding process, efficiencies and enhancements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of daily operations for the end-to-end pre-hire screening process and the initial onboarding of new employees and contractors into the System.

  • Enforces all processing deadlines, compliance requirements and turnaround times with Onboarding Specialists and vendors.

  • Oversees all elements of the background process ensuring efficient turn around with accurate results relative to job requirements.

  • Oversees the scheduling and attendance of the new hire Employee Health appointments, ensuring best practice communication and proactive planning to achieve the maximum number of new hires processed per new employee orientation.

  • Oversees the timely and accurate processing of new hire documents by Onboarding Specialists including providing a complete and accurate employee file to facilities in a timely manner and ensuring compliance with policy and applicable regulation.

  • Ensures that the list of new employees for each orientation class has been properly validated, is up-to-date and accurate.

  • Produces comprehensive reports regarding the daily operations of onboarding activities and services.

  • Provides day-to-day oversight for ongoing service delivery provided by the onboarding staff.

  • Serves as a resource to Hiring Managers and TA Consultants for issues with post offer requirements.

  • Informs of successes and solves for barriers with the onboarding function and processes.

  • Conducts regular new hire file audits through sampling of final hire packets to ensure compliance with policies and laws related to employment.

  • Manages the Onboarding Team in accordance with policies and applicable laws/regulations, monitoring work procedures and expediting workflow, issuing written and oral instruction.

  • Ensures a high level of customer service to all facilities, maintaining a strong open relationship with local HR team members and leaders.

  • Manages the onboarding process to meet SLAs and maintains an excellent new hire experience.

  • Trains team members and supports all new hires in the onboarding process.

  • Appraises work performance; rewards and disciplines staff as appropriate; Maintains harmony among employees and resolves issues of concern, addressing complaints as appropriate.

  • Monitor turnover of new hires in process.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. Other education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Eight years experience in a talent acquisition, human resources, staffing, or related department with working knowledge of recruitment processes and onboarding activities.

  • Five years of direct internal customer service and support within a Talent Acquisition Onboarding role.

  • Five years of managerial experience leading others.

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.

  • Must have exceptional organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.

  • Must be familiar with employment law, recruiting, performance review programs, and progressive counseling.

  • Must be able to handle matters in discrete and confidential manner.

  • Must be able to maintain quality documentation of all consulting procedures.

  • Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Navigation of and knowledge/skills associated with applicant tracking systems, recruiting, and employee records systems software.

  • Working knowledge of human resources and recruiting practices, policies, and processes.

  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and supervisory skills. Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions.

  • Experience working in applicant tracking systems, iCIMS preferred.
